The CSCP did host a "Climate Café" for the Wuppertal-Ostersbaum quarter, in which the Centre is situated, on September 11, 2007. The event is part of the local responsibility initiatives implemented by the CSCP together with the community-organisation startpunkt and the local neighbourhood centre. It is organised under a one-month climate change campaign by the City of Wuppertal.

Together with the UNEP/UNESCO youthXchange the CSCP supports the international youth camp “Ice – Climate – Education” in Spitzbergen organised by the polar expert Arved Fuchs.

The CSCP supports the "One Planet Business" initiative which brings together business leaders, policy-makers, investors, consumer groups and other NGOs within a year long multi-stakeholder process to understand and help achieve system changes required to ensure sustainability of our market economies.

The CSCP together with the Wuppertal Institute and the German Society for Technical Cooperation (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit – GTZ) have jointly published a compendium of policy instruments for resource efficiency.

The CSCP is seeking funding partners for the project that will set up a bread bakery powered entirely by a solar oven in a rural village in south-western Cameroon.
