MARTIN HERRNDORF

Martin Herrndorf works at the CSCP as a Consultant.

 

Martin Herrndorf designs, assesses and implements strategies and tools for sustainability management and governance. This includes organising and supporting national and international dialogue processes and conducting pilot implementation projects, background research, benchmarking and dissemination activities. His main topics are resource efficiency in the public and private sector; sustainability governance at the state-business interface; socio-economic implications of sustainability; sustainable design, architecture and urban planning; and sustainability communication.

 

Martin Herrndorf also promotes sustainability in higher education as a member of the Executive Board of oikos International in the position of Director Marketing. His previous work experiences include being a Student Assistant at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Envi-ronment and Energy, at the Department for Comparative Political Science and at the De-partment for Economic and Social Statistics at University of Cologne. He worked as a free-lance journalist and editor for various media, including the German daily newspaper ‘die tageszeitung’. He was the founding director of a web service agency, which he continuous to consult as a freelancer.

 

He graduated in economics and political science at the University of Cologne in spring 2006. He conducted research for his final thesis in Mexico during a stay at the National Ecology Institute in Mexico City.

 

Martin Herrndorf is a German national.
